Five men who police say are in the United States illegally from Honduras and Mexico are in jail in Missouri accused of trafficking, a Cass County, IN 14-year-old

Wednesday, 26 June 2024

According to court documents we received, the Missouri State Highway Patrol were contacted just before 2 a.m. Monday morning that an active search was underway to find a 14-year-old girl who was reported missing from Cass County.

The girl’s father told Logansport Police his daughter got into a black Dodge Durango with unknown registration.

Later the Cass County Sheriff’s Office notified troopers the girl’s cell phone had pinged traveling westbound on U.S. 36 near Hannibal, Missouri.

A trooper saw an SUV matching the description and stopped the men in Macon County, Missouri.

The trooper saw the girl in the backseat and she identified herself as the missing teen. He got her to safety! Great police work!

The five men arrested are:

Marlon Aguilar of Honduras
Arturo Eustaquio of Mexico
Noe Guzman Hernandez of Mexico
Daniel Ruiz Lopez of Mexico
Carlos Funez of Honduras

They face felony counts of kidnapping and endangering the welfare of a child. They are currently being held without bond due to being flight risks.

According to court documents, authorities believe the men were trafficking the young girl to California.

This is all the information we have right now. When we get more I will share it.
