The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) state branch and Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo got into a heated argument on Sunday, November 17, regarding the 7.5-kilometer Temboga Road construction in Benin City.
A comment posted online by Chris Nehikhare, the Edo PDP Caretaker Committee's publicity secretary and a former commissioner for communication and orientation in the government of Governor Godwin Obaseki, ignited the dispute.
In the statement, Nehikhare charged that All Progressives Congress (APC) Governor Okpebholo was trying to take credit for Obaseki's leadership in the development of the critical road and other projects in Edo State, which he claimed were "initiated and completed."
