Nollywood legend and screen icon, Pete Edochie, is speaking about marriage and relationships during a new interview with media personality Blessing CEO, and during their conversation, Pete Edochie gave some controversial advice about marriage, and the role of love in the institution. Here is what the beloved actor had to say.

During his interview, Pete Edochie was first asked by Blessing CEO, "Marriages of these days, we call ourselves the millenials and the Gen Z baddies. What advice do you have for us because a lot of us want to get married, or we don't know how to stay married. We marry today, we divorce tomorrow. Can you give us one simple advice especially as women that can just make us sit in our husband's house and make the marriage work." to which Pete Edochie responded:

PETE EDOCHIE: Regrettably, you don't know what you want. That is the biggest problem with our women. They don't know what they want. Our mothers were uneducated, but they knew that they were getting married to raise families. So they would go there and next thing, get pregnant for their husband so that you know wherever the children go to, the moment you look at their faces, you know it's such a source of pride. The family is growing. You people don't think about such things now which is unfortunate. That's one thing.
Then number two, you don't even know why you get married. You don't get married to stay single, it does not make sense. You get married to raise a family. That is the idea. The white people don't believe very much in marriage. They don't. Sometimes, "people will say we are partners, we are roommates, I'm not going to get married, I don't want to be pregnant." You don't want to be pregnant and yet you're married, what what sense does it make?

Then, Blessing CEO asked Pete Edochie saying, "Is it only reproduction, what of love?
